“From a Circle of Intellectuals to a Public Serving Think Tank”

The Center of Policy Research and Governance aims to track the happenings of India’s upcoming G20 presidency, which has begun on December 1, 2022. The G20 Summit, 2023 will be the premier forum for international cooperation on the most pressing issues, with 19 countries participating: the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Turkey, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, India, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Italy, France, Russia, and one regional organization, the European Union.

Among the key themes for India’s presidency are Inclusive, Equitable, and Sustainable growth; Women Empowerment; Digital public infrastructure and Tech-enabled development; Climate Financing; Global Food Security; and Multilateral reforms.

CPRG India is working to build a platform for G20 discussions by bringing together people from all walks of life who have been involved in previous global summits and will serve as valuable stakeholders in the future. It will also include professors and doctors working in fields ranging from social sciences to health and medicine, as well as the G20’s most valued stakeholders, the youth studying in colleges and higher education, who will bring a fresh set of discussions to the table and, through their creative ideas, will prove to be a changemaker in the scenario.

The Center of Policy Research and Governance (CPRG) is committed to tracking India’s G20 presidency’s year-long deliberations and engagements with various stakeholders through a series of reports called, CPRG’s G20 India Series.
