International Events

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit 2025 was held at the Grand Palais in Paris, France, from 10–11 February 2025. Co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the summit marked a major milestone in the global dialogue on AI governance, innovation, and responsible deployment. It followed the AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park (UK, 2023) and the AI Seoul Summit (South Korea, 2024), and will be succeeded by the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, India, in February 2026.

Unlike earlier summits that were limited in scope, the Paris gathering brought together a truly global community. Over 1,000 participants from more than 100 countries, including heads of government, international organisations, leading academics, researchers, industry leaders, and civil society, convened to shape the future of AI. The summit underscored the importance of inclusive, multilateral approaches in addressing the opportunities and risks of emerging technologies.

India AI Impact Summit 2026

Building on its engagement at the Paris AI Action Summit 2025, CPRG has already hosted the AI in Fintech Talk and will be hosting an upcoming panel discussion on AI for Inclusion in India as part of the run-up to the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi. In the lead-up to the summit, CPRG will host several other events, nationally and internationally, and continue to expand its role in India’s position and conversations on AI, equity, and the future of technology.

Paris AI Action Summit 2025

The Center of Policy Research and Governance (CPRG), in partnership with AI4India, organised an official side event at the AI Action Summit 2025 in Paris on February 11, 2025. As the only Indian NGO to host an official event at the summit, CPRG joined global institutions like UNESCO, UNDP, and the European Commission, highlighting India’s leadership in responsible AI adoption. Through this milestone, CPRG reinforced its role in shaping national and international conversations on AI, equity, and the future of technology.
