CPRG will be hosting a panel discussion on AI for Inclusion in India, bringing together leading voices from policy, academia, and industry. The conversation focused on how AI can help bridge digital divides, enable access to education and finance, and strengthen India’s development agenda. Panelists highlighted opportunities and challenges in designing AI systems that are ethical, equitable, and aligned with India’s socio-economic priorities.

As part of its Future of Society Initiative, CPRG hosted a talk by Prof. Rama Malladi of California State University on the transformative role of AI in financial technology. The discussion explored how AI is reshaping finance, enhancing digital payments, credit access, compliance, and customer experience, while also addressing issues of regulation and inclusion. The session offered an international perspective on building a responsible, innovation-driven fintech ecosystem in India.

The PadhAI Conclave, held on May 27, 28 in New Delhi, marked a milestone in the national dialogue on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education. It was the largest and most inclusive gathering, focused on the transformative role of AI across India’s education landscape. The event brought together a wide spectrum of voices, including Union and State Ministers, senior bureaucrats, researchers, educators, technologists, and civil society leaders.

The discussion featured insights from Dr. Axel Baisch, Managing Director of the Hertie School, and Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, who examined the evolving role of academic leadership in navigating AI-driven change. The session brought together academic leaders and policy experts to deliberate on the integration of Artificial Intelligence into university systems and its far-reaching implications for teaching, research, and institutional governance.

The Center of Policy Research and Governance (CPRG), in partnership with AI4India, organised an official side event at the AI Action Summit 2025 in Paris on February 11, 2025. As the only Indian NGO to host an official event at the summit, CPRG joined global institutions like UNESCO, UNDP, and the European Commission, highlighting India’s leadership in responsible AI adoption. Through this milestone, CPRG reinforced its role in shaping national and international conversations on AI, equity, and the future of technology.

Anantha Nageswaran, Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, the event convened policymakers, industry leaders, and scholars to deliberate on how emerging technologies are reshaping India’s economic landscape. The conclave examined both opportunities and challenges, seeking ways to harness AI and automation for inclusive, sustainable growth.
