Data Daan

Data-Daan-Initiative

With the rapid advancement in Artificial Intelligence, one of the biggest obstacles to developing AI models in India is the lack of adequate, high-quality local data. Subsequently, a holistic, supportive, and harmonious innovation ecosystem is essential. The Data Daan Initiative attempts to overcome this by democratizing access to data, creating a foundation for AI-driven solutions that will fuel India’s growth. It is envisaged as a nationwide voluntary program for the donation of private, anonymised data in the interest of the collective good. It would enable startups and researchers building AI-based solutions to access relevant, usable and, contextually appropriate data for training models and analysis.
