
PM SHRI: Schools for Rising India
Longitudinal Study
The PM SHRI (Prime Minister’s Schools for Rising India) initiative is building model schools of excellence across the country. Designed in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, these schools focus on innovative teaching methods, modern infrastructure, inclusive practices, and holistic learning environments. The Government of India has set a target of 14,500 PM SHRI schools, with 13,070 already approved nationwide.

Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS)
Research Initiative
The Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) is an initiative of the Government of India, designed to provide quality education to students from Class 6 to 12 in tribal-dominated regions. These schools aim not only to improve educational attainment among Scheduled Tribe (ST) children but also to preserve tribal culture, promote inclusivity, and support holistic development.
